It’s so easy to get caught up in a conventional lifestyle – get married, get a mortgage and buy a house, pop out a couple of kids and then work and work and work until it’s time to retire and/or drop dead.
Well neither of us has ever been entirely comfortable with this prospect, but once you’re on that treadmill, it’s really hard to get off again. But that’s what we’re doing! We are a married Australian couple with two kids, who have decided that now is the time to grasp life by the shirtfront and shake every little experience out of it that we can. We’ve decided that we want to live while we have the means, both financial and physical, and we want to show our children just how big and amazing this world is.
So in April 2017 we are selling most of our possessions, packing up our lives into suitcases and aiming for the horizon. First stop will be Spain, then we’re going to open ourselves up to opportunity, follow our noses and see where the wind blows us. It’s an exhilarating and terrifying prospect, and we’d love nothing more than for you to follow our exploits. This is an open invitation for you to comment, advise and generally get involved as our journey unfolds.
